NNG GROUP is presently one of the biggest assets management and insurance companies in Netherlands. The company is headquartered at The Hague and has two more offices; one is found in the tallest Skyscraper in Netherlands known as Gebouw Delftse Poort, in Rotterdam and the other office is found in Ede, previously known as RVS. NNG Group relies heavily on Independent middlemen for the sale of its insurance. Apart from managing insurance and assets, the NNG Group also provides banking relating services such as mortgages.
The formation of Nationale-Nederlanden (NN) came as a result of a merging agreement between Nationale Levensverzekerings bank which translates to National Life Insurance Bank and, De Nederlanden van, a Non-life insurance Company in Netherlands. The strengthened domestic position of both the National and, the International experiences encountered by De Nederlanden, was the key reason that promoted the merger. The move to join these two organizations was also aimed at preparing for the future developments such computerization and other emerging innovations. In 1991, NN joined with NMB Postbank Groep to create ING Group.
ING Group received a financial boost between 2007 and 2008 from the Dutch State, This support was provided with a condition that directed ING Group to split off ING insurance management activities and all insurance activities. After this split off ING dissolved by selling all of its shares to NNG. In 2017 NN Group over the former listed Delta Lloyd.
