Honeywell to sell footwear businesses to Rocky Brands in $230M deal

  • Honeywell (NYSE:HON) agrees to sell its performance and lifestyle footwear business to Rocky Brands (NASDAQ:RCKY) for ~$230M.
  • Honeywell says it will divest five brands it considers non-core to its business: The Original Muck Boot Company, XTRATUF fishing boots and deck shoes, Ranger, NEOS overshoes and Servus protective rubber boots.
  • Honeywell says the sale will not impact its financial guidance, while Rocky expects the deal will be immediately accretive to gross margins and earnings per share.
