But there are a few analysts who think that Qualcomm ’s business won’t be affected as the company has diversified revenue streams. Earlier this month, Susquehanna upped its price target on the chipmaker to $67 from $61.
The firm said in a report that Qualcomm ’s joint venture in China with JAC Capital, Wise Road Capital and Leadcore Technology will help the company grow in the emerging markets. Qualcomm , Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM)’s latest Snapdragon have a lot of opportunity in the market. They are currently being used in Samsung Galaxy 8 and Sony’s Xperia XZ phones. Qualcomm , Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM) is also investing heavily in the IoT and wearable sectors.
For this year Qualcomm 's revenue will be around 22,7 billion Dollar. This is according to the average of the analysts' estimates. This is slightly lower than 2016's revenue of 23,55 billion Dollar.
The analysts anticipate for 2017 a record net profit a 6,39 billion Dollar. The majority of the analysts expects for this year a profit per share of 4,24 Dollar. So the price/earnings-ratio equals 13,25.
