General Motors Blasts Q3 Profit Prognosis on Pickup, SUV Demand

GM followed its domestic rival Ford in posting a lot more grounded than anticipated third quarter profits linked to improving domestic demand for pickups and SUVs.

CEO Mary Barra stated: “This year, and the third quarter, is a testament to GM’s flexibility. We entered the pandemic in a solid position and acted decisively to keep our teams safe, conserve money and preserve liquidity, all while keeping our critical product programs on track".

"Currently we are well positioned to meet rising customer demand, accelerate our growth and deliver our vision of a world with zero accidents, zero emissions and zero congestion.”
