Groupe Bruxelles Lambert ("GBL") is a multinational investment company which is quoted on the Brussels Stock Exchange ever since 15 October 1956. GBL is having a market capitalization of just about 9.6 Billion Euro as per 31 March 2013, GBL is one of Belgium’s top ten business corporation. GBL endeavor to expand the portfolio of investments concentrating on a small number of industrial corporations that are leader in their markets where it can play its be a long-lasting professional shareholder. This portfolio is intended to develop over time which mainly depends upon the business development and market prospects. GBL invests and disinvests as per the aim of value creation and of upholding a sturdy financial composition.

The Company’s portfolio consists of four major business corporation, Bertelsmann, Total, Suez and Imerys. TotalFina Elf shaped by the consecutive consolidations these groups, TotalFinaElf is a worldwide leader in oil and gas business and a foremost player in the chemicals segment. Its operations are in more than 100 countries which covers the total oil industry chain, from exploration, development and manufacture of oil and gas to the refining and allocation of oil products and international trading of crude oil and refined oil products. TotalFina is there in the liquefied natural gas industry and planning to expand its operations to associated market segments such as gas distribution and electricity generation. TotalFinaElf has interests in 27 refineries and manages a set-up of some 16,700 service stations underneath the Total, Fina and Elf brands, first and foremost in Europe. TotalFina Elf’s chemical interests comprises of not only the petrochemicals and long-chain polymers, operations which are usual for included oil companies, but also mediator chemical goods and recital polymers with a specialty in the chemical products division that focuses on dealing out its expertise in rubber and coating goods.

Bertelsmann is a media and entertainment corporation having its primary business in making of first-class media content. The business endeavors to encourage people’s lives globally with its products and services. Suez Suez is an intercontinental manufacturing and services group, which is active in sustainable expansion and a supplier of innovative Energy and Environment solutions for industrial and individual clients in communities. Imerys are functional in four major business divisions which specializes in minerals, pigments for Paper, Building Materials and Refractory & Abrasives. In 2001, GBL decided to invest 40 Million Euro in the PAI Europe III fund. Next year PAI Europe III realized five investments namely: Antargaz, Yoplait, Panzani-Lustucru, Elis and Provimi.
