JinkoSolar to build $500M ingot and wafer facility in Vietnam

  • JinkoSolar (NYSE:JKS) says it plans to spend $500M to build a monocrystalline ingot and wafer manufacturing facility in Vietnam, as it seeks to ensure the stability of its global supply chain.
  • JinkoSolar says it has begun work on the plant, which is planned to have an annual capacity of 7 GW to support its overseas production stability.
  • The company says the project received approval from the local Qu?ng Ninh province government early this year and expects to operate the new plant in Q1 2022.
  • JinkoSolar said recently that its profits and margins had been hurt because some of its solar panels are being stopped by U.S. Customs authorities.

    For this year the company, based in Shangrao revenue will be around 6.09 billion USD. This is according to the average of the analysts' estimates. This is hugely lower than 2021's revenue of 35.13 billion USD.

    The analysts expect for 2021 a net profit of 153 million USD. For this year the consensus of the result per share is a profit of 2.99 USD. The price-earnings-ratio equals 15.02.

    Analysts don't expect the company to pay a dividend. The average dividend yield of the industrial companies is an attractive 1.65 percent.
