Visa acquires Currencycloud in GBP700M deal, enhancing cross-border payments

  • Visa (NYSE:V) has acquired Currencycloud in GBP700M deal, inclusive of cash and retention incentives.
  • The consideration will be reduced by the outstanding shares of Currencycloud that the company already owns.
  • Currencycloud is a global platform that enables banks and fintechs to provide innovative foreign exchange solutions for cross-border payments.
  • Currencycloud will accelerate the time-to-market and improve payment transparency for clients.

  • The transaction is contingent upon regulatory approvals.

    For this year the company, located in San Francisco revenue will be around 23.96 billion USD. This is according to the average of the analysts' estimates. This is slightly more than 2021's revenue of 21.85 billion USD.

    The analysts expect for 2021 a net profit of 12.64 billion USD. For this year the consensus of Visa 's result per share is a profit of 5.82 USD. The price/earnings-ratio therefore equals 41.27.
