Moderna cutting vaccine deliveries to Canada, but Pfizer adding doses

  • Canada will receive just 650K COVID-19 shots from Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA) instead of a previously anticipated 1.2M doses this month as the company deals with production issues at European facilities, according to CBC.
  • However, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said today that the government signed an agreement with Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) for an additional eight million vaccine doses between now and July.
  • The boost means Canada will now receive a total of 23.8M Pfizer shots in Q2 instead of the 17.8M previously expected.

    For this year Moderna Inc 's (located in Cambridge) revenue will be around 17.43 billion USD. This is according to the average of the analysts' estimates. This is hugely lower than 2020's revenue of 803.4 million USD.

    The analysts expect for 2021 a net profit of 9.45 billion USD. Most of the analysts anticipate on a profit per share of 23.29 USD. The price/earnings-ratio is then 7.28.

    For this year analysts don't expect the company to pay a dividend. The average dividend yield of the biotech companies is a relatively high 1.97 percent.
