Google will face USD5B lawsuit over Internet tracking, judge rules

  • Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL) has to a face a USD5b lawsuit that it didn't notify users that their data can still be collected while in "incognito" mode, a judge ruled on Friday.
  • A federal judge denied Alphabet 's request for dismissal of a lawsuit that was filed in June, according to Cnet.
  • "The court concludes that Alphabet did not notify users that Alphabet engages in the alleged data collection while the user is in private browsing mode," US District Judge Lucy Koh wrote in her ruling.

    Over the current book year the total revenue will be 226.17 billion USD (consensus estimates). This is hugely more than 2020's revenue of 182.53 billion USD.
