Facebook working on smartwatch for next year - report

  • Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) is working on a smartwatch it hopes to sell next year, according to The Information.
  • That watch will allow for sending messages through Facebook services as well as tapping health and fitness features.

  • A move into watches is new ground occupied by tough rivals, however - primarily including Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), a well as Alphabet 's Fitbit (GOOG, GOOGL) and China's Huawei.
