  • McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) has begun selling the McPlant burger in Denmark and Sweden in order to monitor customer interest in the alternative-meat menu item before planning a broader roll-out.
  • The McPlant sandwich was co-developed with Beyond Meat (NYSE: BYND) utilizing pea-based protein.
  • Some analysts think investors have already built some McDonald's expectations into Beyond Meat 's share price.
