Analysts foresee less revenue Macy's, relatively high dividend

Tomorrow the American company Macy's will publish its past quarters results. Over the current book year the total revenue will be 18,91 billion USD (consensus estimates). This is hugely lower than 2019's revenue of 25,33 billion USD.

The analysts expect for 2020 a net loss of 1,34 billion USD. For this year most of the analysts expect a loss per share of 4,15 USD. So the price/earnings-ratio equals -1,6.

Huge dividend Macy's

Despite the expected loss the company will probably pay a dividend. For this year the analysts expect a dividend of 0,33 cents per share. Thus the dividend yield equals 4,98 percent. The average dividend yield of the general retailers equals a moderate 0,81 percent.

Macy's's market capitalization is based on the number of outstanding shares around 2,04 billion USD. The Macy's stock was the past 12 months quite unstable. Since last June the stock is 66 percent lower. This year the stock price moved between 4 and 23 dollar.
