UnitedHealth has a huge edge due to its Optum platform.
Optum accounted for about 36% of the total revenue of UnitedHealth. The platform’s revenue increased by a whopping 40% in the second quarter of 2017. OptumCare health delivery service is also a growth catalyst for UnitedHealth. The service is currently available in just 28 cities. UnitedHealth plans to expand this service, which would result in revenue growth. Analysts have also increased their estimates for UnitedHealth’s fiscal 2017 and 2018 results.
Tomorrow the American United Health Group will report her past quarter's results. Based on the analysts' consensus: both the revenue and the net result would be on record levels.
