Is it Really Over for Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA)?

Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) stock is taking a beating after the stock was downgraded by Needham & Co. analyst Rajvindra Gill. The analyst said that customers are canceling their orders for Tesla Model 3 amid delays and other issues. The analyst also thinks sales of Model S and Model X are losing vigor amid a tough competition from other car companies. Tesla stock was also given a bearish rating by J.P. Morgan, which said in its report that the stock could plunge by more than 40% in 2018.

On July 20, Roger McNamee, Elevation Partners co-founder, said in an interview that it could be “over” for Tesla stock if Elon Musk’s recent outrageous comment on Twitter affect the stock.

For this year Tesla Motors's revenue will be around 19,77 billion USD. This is according to the average of the analysts' estimates. This is quite more than 2017's revenue of 11,76 billion USD.

The analysts expect for 2018 a net loss of 1,2 billion USD. The majority of the analysts expects for this year a loss per share of 6,83 USD. The price/earnings-ratio therefore equals -43,51.

Analysts don't expect the company to pay a dividend. The average dividend yield of the automobile producers equals a limited 1 percent.
