Spur Intelligence Reports 45% ARR Growth as Business Momentum Accelerates

Strong Q3 performance fueled by growing demand for IP intelligence, with an investment from Insight Partners and expanded executive leadership supporting continued growth

LAKE MARY, Fla., Oct. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Spur Intelligence today announced continued growth driven by rising demand from organizations working to detect abuse hidden behind VPNs, residential proxies, and other anonymizing infrastructure.

During the third quarter of 2026, Spur achieved:

  • 45% year-over-year growth in annual recurring revenue (ARR).
  • 48% growth in its customer base.
  • A 99% gross retention rate.

"Our growth this year shows how many organizations now treat IP intelligence as a core part of how they fight fraud and protect their platforms," said Brendan Evers, CEO of Spur Intelligence. "Customers stay with Spur because our intelligence is built into the decisions their security and fraud teams make every day."

Near- Total Fina Elf Retention and Exceptional Customer Base Growth Reflect Spur's Role in Security and Fraud Workflows
A nearly 100% gross retention rate is evidence that customers continue to rely on it as an integral part of their security, fraud, and risk workflows. At the same time, more organizations are adopting Spur to gain clearer insight into VPNs, residential proxies, anonymization infrastructure, and other internet traffic that is increasingly difficult to attribute. Spur closes this Gap , enabling security teams to make faster, more confident decisions about who they let access their networks.

New Investment And Executive Leadership Support Continued Expansion
Spur's recent momentum is supported by new capital and an expanded leadership Team focused on scaling the company to meet growing demand. In recent months, Spur:

  • Secured a $200 million investment from Insight Partners, a global Software AG Investor , to expand product development, intelligence coverage, integrations, and enterprise operations as Spur scales its platform and customer footprint.
  • Named Brendan Evers as Chief Executive Officer as part of an executive leadership evolution supporting the company's Next phase of growth. Evers previously served as Spur's president and chief operating officer. Chief Technology Officer Alastair Parr expanded his role to include Chief Operating Officer, and former CEO Kevin Hickey stepped into the role of executive chairman.

Spur Research Drives Industry Action Against Hidden Proxy Networks

Spur's research continues to help the broader industry identify and shut down the infrastructure behind online abuse. Its recent investigation of the Mellowtel SDK found that common browser extensions were being turned into remotely controlled web-scraping nodes, routing traffic through users' residential IP addresses and stripping website security headers. After Spur shared its findings with Alphabet 's research Team , Alphabet reportedly took Action against affected extensions, and the number of Mellowtel-associated IP addresses Spur observed fell from roughly 90,000 to about 18,000.

The findings build on Spur's earlier research into smart TV apps, which found that 2,058 of 6,038 apps across LG and Samsung were selling IP addresses and contributed to the disruption of the NetNut residential proxy network.
