REYKJAVÍK, Iceland, Sept. 17, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Treble Technologies, a world leader in sound simulation and synthetic acoustic data generation, today announced that it has raised $18 million (approximately €15M) in its Series A-2 round to expand its innovative technology platform for enabling better and easier-to-develop audio-enabled systems. Paladin Capital Group led the round, with participation from existing investors KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures, and the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund. The latest round brings Treble’s Total Fina Elf funding to date to €36M.

The financing reflects growing demand from device makers and AI developers to leverage voice and sound AI as an important Interface between people and intelligent machines. It will enable Treble to extend further into the audio-enabled product market for consumer and enterprise applications, and expand into physical AI, where its highly accurate simulation technology helps device manufacturers and AI model developers train, test, and improve their products across an unlimited range of real-world acoustic conditions.
Bringing sound to physical AI
Treble is well-positioned within the broader emergence of physical AI and world models: intelligent systems that perceive, understand, and act within the physical world. Physical AI development has mainly focused on vision and touch, but as voice interfaces and audio intelligence become increasingly prevalent, products must hear and interpret sounds amid background noise, diverse room configurations, and differences in microphone and device placement. Physical AI adds another layer of complexity, including the device itself moving while interacting with challenging acoustic environments.
Examples of applications with dynamic usage include wearables, head-worn devices, humanoid robots, and autonomous vehicles. For example, Treble has collaborated with Amazon and Logitech , two pioneers and leaders in voice as a key Interface modality to a wide range of intelligent devices.
“In many stages of developing Alexa as an AI assistant, we rely on virtual acoustic environments to accelerate product design and model development,” said Wontak Kim, Senior Audio Research Manager at Amazon . “Treble provides an accurate and scalable way to model those environments. It allows us to virtually assess audio quality and performance and evaluate scenarios that are difficult to reproduce through physical testing alone. Its platform and expertise have made Treble a trusted partner and a valuable extension of our Team .”
" Logitech prides itself on delivering robust, immersive experiences for enterprise users. Treble allows us to accurately simulate complex acoustic environments that are difficult to reproduce or test at scale in the real world. Crucially, the fidelity of the underlying physics gives us confidence in those simulations, enabling stronger Engineering conclusions and ultimately better-performing products,” said Andy Harper, Head of Audio AI and Signal Processing at Logitech .
Audio digital twins enable faster time-to-market while improving performance
Treble's expertise in efficient physics-accurate acoustic modeling - recreating how sound physically moves through space - enables companies to replicate those conditions digitally rather than rely primarily on the slow, costly process of collecting recordings at physical locations. Its platform combines acoustic simulation, digital twins, and synthetic data generation to create realistic audio datasets representing different rooms, materials, vehicles, devices, speakers, and ambient sound conditions.
Treble lets developers create digital acoustic versions of those environments and evaluate how a product or model will perform before building physical prototypes or launching large-scale recording programs. With Treble, development teams can generate consistent, labeled datasets, test edge cases that would be difficult to reproduce in the real world, and compare product configurations under controlled conditions.
This approach can reduce prototype testing and data collection efforts from months to days, shortening product development cycles while helping developers upgrade audio AI model performance and robustness, develop innovative new features and improve overall end-user experience.
“Audio and voice interaction is becoming a fundamental Interface for the Next generation of intelligent products, but the physical world is acoustically complex,” said Finnur Pind, co-founder and CEO of Treble. “AI models and devices that perform well in a laboratory can struggle when they encounter reverberation, background noise, or an unfamiliar physical environment. Treble gives development teams at the world’s leading device makers a faster and more scalable way to model those conditions, generate the data they need, and test products to ensure they work reliably in the environments where machines operate, and people interact with them.”
“Paladin predicts that robotics will drive a profound wave of automation across the physical world. Yet today’s robots are largely limited to visual perception: they may detect what is in front of them but cannot interpret critical sounds - such as someone falling in another room or a crash around a corner. Even accurately understanding human speech remains difficult in real-world, acoustically complex environments,” said François Ruether, Vice President at Paladin Capital Group. “The Treble Team has developed a simulation platform designed to help physical AI models and robots integrate visual and auditory inputs. This multimodal capability will be essential to making robots more useful, productive and safe in human environments. We are excited to support the company’s global expansion and to work alongside visionaries behind this differentiated approach to acoustic intelligence.”
