Highlight Group publishes results for the first half of 2026

• Consolidated sales amounted to CHF 127.4 million (previous year: CHF 156.5 million) due to production-related factors and foreign currency effects.
• EBIT improved significantly by CHF 14.3 million to CHF –13.3 million (previous year: CHF –27.6 million).
• EBITDA improved by CHF 16.1 million to CHF 34.1 million (previous year: CHF 18.0 million) as a result of cost savings.

Pratteln, August 28, 2026 – The Highlight Group’s consolidated revenue and EBIT developed in line with expectations in the first half of 2026.

Group development in the first half of 2026

• Consolidated sales amounted to CHF 127.4 million as of June 30, 2026, driven by production-related factors and foreign currency effects. As in the previous year, higher revenues are expected in the second half of the year, as the major theatrical releases are scheduled for that period.
   
• Operating expenses at Group level were reduced by CHF 46.7 million to CHF 175.7 million (prior year: CHF 222.4 million) as a result of the measures initiated in the previous year to reduce costs and optimize business processes.
   
• As a result of the cost reduction measures, operating profit (EBIT) improved significantly from CHF –27.6 million to CHF –13.3 million, and the consolidated result for the period from CHF -30.9 million to CHF -17.6 million compared with the first half of 2025.
