Airbus acquires cryptography system provider DSI Datensicherheit

  • Airbus (OTCPK:EADSF) said Friday its unit Airbus Defence and Space acquired DSI Datensicherheit, a German firm that provides cryptography and communication systems for space, airborne, naval and ground.
  • Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
  • DSI will operate under a new name - Aerospace Data Security.
  • The acquisition will boost Airbus' cryptography capabilities and enhance development of end-to-end secured systems.

    For this year the company, based in Leiden revenue will be around 59.62 billion euros. This is according to the average of the analysts' estimates. This is rather significant more than 2021's revenue of 52.15 billion euros.

    The analysts expect for 2022 a net profit of 4.01 billion euros. For this year the majority of the analysts, consulted by press agency Thomson Reuters, expects a profit per share of 5.11 euros. The price/earnings-ratio is then 20.07.

    Per share the analysts expect a dividend of 1.82 euros per share. Thus the dividend yield equals 1.77 percent. The average dividend yield of the aerospace & defense companies equals a moderate 0.83 percent.

    Deutsche Bank , UBS and Goldman Sachs recently provided recommendations for the stock.

    Airbus Group 's market capitalization is around 80.39 billion euros. 8

    At 13.43 the stock trades 6.9 percent higher at 102.58 euros.
