Microsoft is said in talks to invest in India's Oyo at $9B valuation

  • Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) is said in talk to invest in Indian hotel chain Oyo.
  • The investment will value the Indian startup at $9B, according to an Economic Times report.
  • Microsoft 's investment comes after Oyo raised $660M in debt funding from institutional investors, according to the report.
  • Oyo current investors include SoftBank Vision Fund (OTCPK:SFTBY), Sequoia Capital, Lightspeed Ventures, Airbnb (NASDAQ:ABNB) and Hero Enterprise.

    For this year the company, based in Redmond revenue will be around 191.55 billion USD. This is according to the average of the analysts' estimates. This is rather significant more than 2021's revenue of 168.09 billion USD.

    The analysts expect for 2021 a net profit of 65.88 billion USD. The majority of the analysts expects for this year a profit per share of 8.76 USD. So the price/earnings-ratio equals 33.08.

    Per share the analysts are expecting a dividend of 2.39 USD per share. The dividend yield is then 0.82 percent. The average dividend yield of the software & services companies equals a limited 1.26 percent.
