Shell sells 37.5% stake in Germany's Schwedt refinery

  • Royal Dutch Royal Dutch Shell ( Royal Dutch Shell A .A, Royal Dutch Shell A .B) says it agrees to sell its minority stake in the PCK Schwedt joint venture refinery in Germany to Estonia's Liwathon Group for an undisclosed sum, as a part of its strategy to reduce its global refining footprint.
  • Royal Dutch Shell holds a non-operated 37.5% stale in the independently managed plant alongside Rosneft (OTCPK:RNFTF) with 54.17% and Eni (NYSE:E) with 8.33%, which each have pre-emption rights over Royal Dutch Shell 's stake.
  • Royal Dutch Shell does not offer financial details but estimates the current value of its hydrocarbon inventory at the refinery at $150M-$250M.
  • The company owns Germany's Rheinland refinery, the country's largest, which processes more than 15M mt/year of crude oil.

    Over the current book year the total revenue from the company in Den Haag will be 286.41 billion euros (consensus estimates). This is hugely more than 2021's revenue of 180.54 billion euros.

    The analysts expect for 2021 a net profit of 17.79 billion euros. The majority of the analysts expects for this year a profit per share of 2.29 euros. So the price/earnings-ratio equals 7.1.
