Volkswagen AG to offload stake in Electrify America

  • With a view to raise outside funds to build infrastructure for battery-powered cars, Volkswagen (OTCPK:VLKAF) intends to sell a stake in its electric vehicle charging unit Electrify America.
  • The German automaker is working with Citi to look for a co-investor that is prepared to pledge roughly $1B into the division.
  • Electrify America plans to spend $2B in the 2017-2026 period to expand charging stations for electric vehicles.
  • The unit, whose main rivals are ChargePoint and Tesla's Supercharger, has 635 charging stations with around 2,850 fast-loading spots up and running while a further 125 stations are currently planned.

    For this year the company from Wolfsburg could earn a total revenue around 249.29 billion euros. This is according to the average of the analysts' estimates. This is rather significant more than 2021's revenue of 222.88 billion euros.

    The analysts expect for 2021 a net profit of 13.66 billion euros. For this year the consensus of the result per share is a profit of 33.68 euros. The price-earnings-ratio equals 8.03.

    Per share the analysts expect a dividend of 7.57 euros per share. Thus the dividend yield equals 2.8 percent. The average dividend yield of the automobile producers is an attractive 2.75 percent.

    Goldman Sachs , KBC Securities and Bank of America Merrill Lynch recently provided recommendations for the stock.
