Royal Caribbean extends suspension of some sailings

  • Royal Caribbean ( RCL ) says it is extending the suspension of some sailings, including all sailings from the United States until June 30.
  • The cruise ship operator will continue with its measured return to service with more sailings scheduled from different regions around the world.
  • CEO statement: "The rising number of Americans who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, layered on top of the rigorous health and safety measures we are implementing under the Healthy Sail Panel's guidance, enables us to create a safe environment to take a cruise. We strongly believe that President Biden's stated goal for society to reopen in time for Independence Day is a realistic goal."
  • The CDC is believed to be working toward issuing a new sail order date.

    For this year the company, based in Miami revenue will be around 2.41 billion NOK. This is according to the average of the analysts' estimates. This is slightly more than 2020's revenue of 2.21 billion NOK.

    The analysts expect for 2021 a net loss of 3.37 billion NOK. According to most of the analysts the company will have a loss per share for this book year of 13.45 NOK. The price/earnings-ratio therefore equals -6.43.

    Analysts don't expect the company to pay a dividend. The average dividend yield of the restaurants & bars companies equals a low 1.42 percent.

    Royal Caribbean Cruises 's market capitalization is around 18.07 billion NOK. The Royal Caribbean Cruises stock was the past 12 months quite volatile. Since last April the stock is even 129 percent higher. This year the stock price moved between 31 and 99 NOK.
