Wipro acquires Autsralian cyber security provider Ampion

  • Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT) has acquired Ampion, an Australia-based provider of cyber security, DevOps and quality engineering services.
  • Deal value were not disclosed.
  • Ampion was formed through the merger of IT services providers 'Revolution IT' and 'Shelde'. Revolution IT was an IT services company in Australia founded in 2004 and Shelde was a digital IT security company founded in 2010 in Australia.
  • The acquisition of Ampion will strengthen Wipro's commitment towards clients and stakeholders in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
  • 'Ampion has a successful track record and enjoys immense credibility with leading enterprises in the region, a collaborative work culture, and significant local subject matter expertise. We see Ampion as a complementary force that will help us expand our footprint and accelerate our journey in the Asia Pacific region," said N.S. Bala, CEO – APMEA, Wipro Limited .

    Over the current book year the total revenue will be 618.84 billion Roubles (consensus estimates). This is slightly more than 2020's revenue of 610.23 billion Roubles.

    The analysts expect for 2021 a net profit of 106.28 billion Roubles. According to most of the analysts the company will have a profit per share for this book year of 18.88 Roubles. The PE-ratio therefore is 22.62.

    Per share the analysts expect a dividend of 2.35 Roubles per share. Thus the dividend yield equals 0.55 percent. The average dividend yield of the IT-companies equals a poor 1.1 percent.

    Based on the current number of outstanding shares Wipro's market capitalization 2565.71 billion Roubles. The Wipro stock was the past 12 months quite unstable. Since last April the stock is even 123 percent higher. This year the stock price moved between 174 and 467 rupi.
