Ford to end all projects with Mahindra & Mahindra in India

  • Ford (NYSE:F) and Mahindra & Mahindra (OTCPK:MAHDY) say they will not collaborate on any project they had agreed to as part of their abandoned joint venture.
  • At one time, Ford and Mahindra planned on developing at least three SUVs for India and emerging markets. The two automakers were also considering sharing suppliers, powertrains and technology.
  • "As part of winding down our relationship, several cooperative product programmes will no longer proceed. We are currently re-scoping those product programs," states a Ford India spokesman.
  • Bigger picture: After entering India 25 years ago, Ford has only carved out about 2% market share.

    For this year the company from Dearborn could earn a total revenue around 143.31 billion USD. This is according to the average of the analysts' estimates. This is quite more than 2020's revenue of 127.14 billion USD.

    The analysts expect for 2021 a net profit of 4.67 billion USD. For this year the consensus of Ford Motor's result per share is a profit of 1.15 USD. Based on this the price/earnings-ratio is 11.23.

    For this year analysts don't expect the company to pay a dividend. The average dividend yield of the automobile producers equals a limited 0.95 percent.

    Ford Motor's market capitalization is based on the number of outstanding shares around 51.82 billion USD. The Ford Motor stock was the past 12 months quite volatile. Since last April the stock is even 174 percent higher. This year the stock price moved between 5 and 14 dollar.
