Daimler to split in two with truck listing

  • The Daimler (OTCPK:DDAIF) board AG decided to evaluate a spinoff of the Truck & Bus business and to start preparing for an independent listing of Daimler Truck.
  • The spin-off of a significant majority stake in the Daimler Truck business requires the approval of the shareholders at an extraordinary general meeting of Daimler .
  • The Daimler Truck business will have fully independent management, stand-alone corporate governance including an independent Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and is targeted to qualify as a DAX company.
  • At the appropriate time, Daimler will be renamed Mercedes-Benz.
