Investors in Volkswagen can expect a huge dividend payment. Based on the recent analysts' consensus the stock now has one of the highest dividend returns of the German market. Analysts expect a dividend of 5,85 euros per share. Volkswagen's dividend yield thus equals 4,35 percent. The average dividend yield of the automobile producers is a low 1 percent.
Tomorrow the German Volkswagen will publish its past quarter's figures. Over the current book year the total revenue will be 238,33 billion euros (consensus estimates). This is slightly more than 2017's revenue of 230,68 billion euros.
The analysts expect for 2018 a net profit of 11,99 billion euros. For this year the majority of the analysts, consulted by press agency Thomson Reuters, expects a profit per share of 25,37 euros. So the price/earnings-ratio equals 5,3.
Volkswagen's market capitalization is around 27,73 billion euros. The Volkswagen stock was the past 12 months quite unstable. Since last October the stock is 11 percent lower. This year the stock price moved between 130 and 192 euro. Since 2008 the stock price is almost 74 percent lower.At 9.59 the stock trades 1,56 percent higher at 134,5 euros.
