Investors in Bayer can expect a huge dividend payment. Based on the recent analysts' consensus the stock now has one of the highest dividend returns of the German market. For this year the analysts expect a dividend of 2,76 euros per share. The dividend yield is then 3,43 percent. The average dividend yield of the chemical companies equals a moderate 1 percent.

Bayer's market capitalization is based on the number of outstanding shares around 67,6 billion euros. The Bayer stock was the past 12 months quite unstable. Since last September the stock is 22 percent lower. This year the stock price moved between 76 and 118 euro. Since 2008 the stock price is almost 53 percent higher.

At 10.33 the stock trades 0,15 percent lower at 80,45 euros.
