EFFAS Benelux and Global Fund Risk announce partnership

Founded in 1958 as ABAF-BVFA (Association Belge des Analystes Financiers – Belgische Vereniging voor Financiële Analisten), EFFAS Benelux (www.effasbenelux.com) has recently completed a rebranding to reflect its broader presence in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. As the regional centre of expertise and forward-looking think tank for the investment community, EFFAS Benelux works with corporate finance professionals, financial analysts, fund managers, portfolio managers, asset managers, private bankers, and investors to raise professional standards and promote transparency in both financial and non-financial communication, reporting, and valuation. Its activities include specialised training and seminars, as well as the annual Award for Best Financial Communication. EFFAS Benelux has been a member of EFFAS, the European federation of national societies promoting excellence in capital markets, since 1962.

Global Fund Risk (www.globalfundrisk.org) brings together experts from across the investment industry and focuses on risk management world-wide. Its mission is to strengthen the way risk is understood, managed, and embedded in everyday practice. To achieve this, GFR delivers information, training, advisory, and certification programmes designed to enhance market discipline and professional standards in risk management.

Hans Buysse, Chairman EFFAS Benelux: “We are delighted to combine the strengths of EFFAS Benelux in financial analysis with GFR’s deep expertise in risk management. Until now, risk management training has only been offered as part of our Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA) programme. This partnership enables us to expand our training portfolio and share even greater knowledge with our network.”

Luc Neuberg, Chairman GFR: “This partnership will soon be visible through our enhanced joint training offer. From early 2026, we will be launching the EFFAS European Certified Financial Manager (ECFM) programme. This programme is designed to build an in-depth understanding of financial management, covering topics such as financial accounting and macroeconomics to corporate finance and equity valuation models. We are particularly pleased to be hosting in-person sessions in Luxembourg.”

Beyond training, this collaboration will open both organisations’ networks through joint conferences and seminars. Over the next few months, EFFAS Benelux and GFR will also be co-organising a physical risk management course in Belgium, which will further reinforce their shared commitment to excellence in professional education.
