Resignation of Directors

 

Westminster Group Plc (AIM: WSG), announces that Sir Tony Baldry, Chairman of the Westminster Group, has resigned with immediate effect.

 

Commenting on his resignation, Sir Tony said:

 "Following an irretrievable breakdown in a relationship between myself and one of the Company's larger investors, I consider it to be in the best interests of the Company for me to step down as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Westminster Group plc.  I wish the Company and its staff every success going forward".

 

The Board has also received the resignation of Simon Barrel, a Non-Executive Director of the Company, with immediate effect.

 

Commenting on the resignations Peter Fowler, CEO of Westminster, said:

"Sir Tony has served the Company as Chairman for 10 years and Simon Barrel for 5 years and we are grateful for the services and support they have given during those periods. We wish them well for the future. The Board has agreed that I will be appointed as the Executive Chairman."
