Honeywell Honeywell. is an American multinational corporation company that manufactures a diversity of commercial and consumer products, engineering services, and aerospace systems for an extensive range of customers, from private consumers to major corporations and governments. The Honeywell. is a global corporation headquartered in Morristown, New Jersey, United States. Honeywell is part of the Dow Jones stock index, S&P 500 and also included in the Fortune 500 companies providing employment to approximately 135,000 people. Honeywell has many brands that are popular among consumers. Some of the best known products are the range of thermostats for home and automotive products sold under the names of Prestone, Fram, and Autolite. Honeywell. was founded in 1906 in Minneapolis as the Butz Thermo-Electric Regulator Co. by Albert Butz engineer and inventor of a thermostat for oven. In 1912, the company took the name Minneapolis Heat Regulator Company, then in 1927, Minneapolis Heat Regulator Company and Honeywell Heating Specialty Co. merged to form Minneapolis-Honeywell Regulator Co. In 1970, Honeywell takes control of the computer division of General Electric. The company started initially with only heating control, today operates primarily in the aerospace, automation of building (regulatory, technical supervision, security and access control), and defence (military avionics, etc.). Honeywell has become a major supplier to the industry automobile, especially since the purchase of turbochargers Garrett including site Thaon-les-Vosges for France in recent years. Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) is a research lab within Honeywell dedicated to researching new products. This division is headquartered in Bangalore with a number greater than 5000 employees.
