Large caps most expensive in energy sector

Within the energy sector we see a low diversification of the 12-months returns. Since July last year the sector is around 15 percent higher. Among the winners we find Fortum , Electricite de France SA and Orsted A/S. Relatively big losses were for PG&E , Edison International and National Grid .

Regarding the price/earings-ratios we see a uniform palette. The large caps are with the price/earnings-ratio of 18 the most expensive. The microcaps are the cheapest and trade at 7 times the earnings per share. National Grid , Consolidated Edison and Dominion Energy are the stocks in the megacap segment with the highest ratios. Stocks with the lowest ratios are PG&E , Enel SpA and Endesa SA.

The sector's average dividend yield is with 3,2 percent relatively high. Stocks with now high dividend yields are Endesa SA, Enel SpA and Engie SA.
